The festival began with the announcement of the names of documentaries, feature films and short films screened at the Turkic World International Film Festival.
The names of the documentaries participating in the competition section of the First World Film Festival “Ata Kurkot” (Dada Gorgud) of the First Turkic World have been announced.
“Natig Gasimov” directed by Elchin Musaoglu from Azerbaijan and “Twins” directed by Mahammadali Moradi from Iran will compete with 11 other films. Iranian Rza Siami is participating in the festival as a jury member in the documentary film section.

Semih Kaplanoglu, a well-known Turkish director and winner of the Berlin Golden Bear Award for his film “Honey”, is participating with his film “Original”.
Ismail Munsif from Iran will compete with “Coal”, Ilhan Jafarov from Azerbaijan with “Half Memories” and Oktay Mirgasimov from “Before Revenge” with 10 other films.
