In Urmu, tons of tomatoes remain in the hands of farmers and they are unable to sell the product they have been working on for months.
The head of Urmu Fruit and Vegetable Fields said that the reason for the incident was that the quarries bought local tomatoes from different regions.
According to Gasim Izzeti, currently there are 1,500 tomans in the square, and 700-800 tomans are found on the roadsides. Izzeti expressed his regret that the quarries did not allow the sale of tomatoes imported from other regions in the orchards to support farmers, so that they could buy tomatoes from different places.
Gasim Izzeti: “If each of the quarries buys only 10 tons of tomatoes from local farmers, this will not be a problem.”
It should be noted that one of the main problems of Azerbaijani agriculture is the lack of sufficient quarries to evaluate the products. In addition, due to improper control, the main profits are made by the fruit mafia and the means, and farmers suffer a lot.
