Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Zanjan said:
“This year, with the follow-up, emergency restoration of the main and sub-orders of the historical market of Zanjan is on the agenda.”
Amir Arjmand added in front of reporters on Wednesday:
“Zanjan historical bazaar is one of the oldest commercial and social centers of Zanjan city and for many years, the restoration of the historical bazaar of this city has been done in different phases and this year a new phase of this project has started”.
He stated that this year, with the follow-ups done and the participation of bazaars, the necessary credit has been provided for the emergency repair of some of the damaged rows of the market. He said: Roofing, arching, insulation, local repairs under the foundations and other restoration works are performed.
Arjmand pointed out: Attracting the participation of owners and users of historical buildings in operations and restoration projects in order to increase their sense of belonging and protection of historical monuments is one of the goals and priorities of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage.
