Azerbaijani activist Salar Tahir Afshar was sentenced to 4 years in prison by the 2nd Department of the Revolutionary Court of Urmu.
The verdict was passed orally in the 2nd Department of the Revolutionary Court. According to the department’s Book of Interests, Salar Tahir Afshar was charged with “propaganda against the order” and “carrying out activities related to illegal assemblies.”
It should be noted that national activist Salar Tahir Afshar has been repeatedly arrested by the security forces of the Iranian regime. The activist is currently serving a three-year suspended sentence.
