One week has passed since the arrest of Mukhtar Ebrahimi, an activist of the Azerbaijani National Movement, by the Iranian Ministry of Information. A week after the arrest of Mukhtar Ebrahimi, an activist of the Azerbaijani National Movement, by the Iranian Ministry of Information, the activist’s condition is still unknown.
This year, the activist, nicknamed “Artan”, who was detained at the Maragha Information Ministry officials at around 2 pm on the 6th of Shahrivar this year and transferred to an unknown location, is still under pressure and interrogation.
ANT TV received information from the relatives of the activist of the Azerbaijani national movement that the day after his arrest, Maragha Information Ministry officials called Mukhtar bey Ebrahimi’s wife, Ms. Soleimani, and told her to go to the interrogation center and take her husband’s personal belongings.
Because the process of interrogation and forced confession of this national activist will last as long as the majority of prisoners. Security officials at the Ministry of Information promised the national activist’s wife that he would be released within a day or two if her husband cooperates.
And they reminded that Ms. Suleimani would be arrested if she informed the media about it. Now, more than a week later, there is no news about him.
His wife also said:
The day after his arrest, on 6 Shahrivar 1399, officers from the Maragha Information Office searched his home and confiscated many electronic items, including videotapes of their wedding, hard disks, and Casey.
According to the latest information received by the relatives of this activist of the Azerbaijani national movement, the employees of the Information Department plan to sentence him to a long prison term in the Revolutionary Court for his active activity.
It should be reminded that during the terrible flood in the Turkmen Sahara on New Year’s Day 1397, the militant cleric of the National Movement Abdul-Aziz Azimi Gadim, Davud Azimzade, Habib Sasanian, the late Bahman Khalegi and others, including Mukhtar Ebrahimi, marched in the central square of Maragha. Many activists of the Azerbaijan National Movement set up tents. They collected and sent non-aid to Turkmen Sahara flood victims and were therefore threatened and interrogated by security forces.
