.The head of the Western Azerbaijani Police Forces, Masud Khurramnia, said that 5 billion 150 million rials of smuggled goods had been discovered and seized.
Speaking to a news website on April 10, Khurramnia said: “Officers at the Rajai checkpoint detained a large truck on suspicion of smuggling goods while inspecting vehicles passing through the road from Sagkiz to Beykendi.
During the inspection, 50 rings (ring is a unit of measurement) plastic wheel, 100 thousand pairs of gloves, 160 liters of olive oil, 243 Power Bank devices, 1 thousand 920 kilograms of external tea, 350 mobile phone connection cables, 1 thousand 50 glass protectors for mobile phones and 24,000 chandeliers were found and confiscated.
Experts have estimated the value of the found goods in 5 billion 150 million rials.
According to Khurramnia, one person has already been arrested.
