Mr. Zelenskiy, the honorable president of Ukraine
Your Excellency’s words regarding the involvement of the terrorist regime of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the unfortunate aggression of Russia against Ukraine and the sending of weapons to kill the people of Ukraine and your request to the people of Iran to protest against the criminal actions of the Islamic Republic of Iran, were widely reflected in media of South Azerbaijan.
Since the beginning of this war, the public opinion of the Turks of South Azerbaijan in Iran has followed in sad the sufferings of this war with special sensitivity.
Mr. President, the Turkic people, who make up about 40% of Iran’s population, have been under racist repression by Iranian regimes for a century, and the Turks in Iran face all kinds of discrimination and repression. Our nation has been fighting against the colonial and racist policies of the Shah and Mullah regimes in Iran for decades.
We know very well that you and the Ukrainian nation are also in the front line of the fight against racism and fascism, and we can clearly say that the pain of the Turks of South Azerbaijan and the Ukrainian nation in this mean is the same, as the defeat of fascism and racism is the wish of oppressed and occupied nations.
Therefore, as the political organizations of the Turks of South Azerbaijan, we declare our full support for Your Excellency and the people of Ukraine and condemn the anti-human policies of the regime of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

You are well aware that the dictatorial regime of the Islamic Republic of Iran, just as it has terrorist interventions in countries such as Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Afghanistan, etc., also takes repressive measures inside Iran against its citizens, especially those of different ethnicities and religions.
While the Turks of South Azerbaijan are severely suppressed, the Islamic Republic of Iran during the occupation of the historical lands of North Azerbaijan in the Karabagh region also supported the occupiers of Azerbaijan by sending military equipment and other types of support, which caused street protests in the cities of South Azerbaijan, in which hundreds of South Azerbaijani citizens were arrested by Iranian regime.
His Excellency Ilham Aliyev, the honorable president of the Republic of Azerbaijan, who is always concerned about the fate of all Azerbaijanis in the world, like you, repeatedly asked the Tehran regime to refrain from interfering in the affairs of other countries, but the fascist leaders of Iran sent terrorists and weapons to the occupiers, and attacked the embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan and in this way proved fascist and terrorist manner of İranian regime.

We, the Turks of South Azerbaijan and its political organizations have not remained silent in front of the interventionist and terrorist policies of the Islamic Republic of Iran, especially regarding the sending of weapons to kill of the Ukrainian innocent citizens. In this mean, we did and will confront the terrorist policies of the Islamic Republic regime of Iran, because the heart of the Turkic nation of South Azerbaijan is with the Ukrainians.
We hope that you, as the president of the Ukrain, as a leader in the fight against fascism and racism, will also be the voice of the Turks of South Azerbaijan, who are oppressed by Persian fascism and racism.
We hope that unity and solidarity will cause the defeat and destruction of fascism and racism and the right to determine the destiny of all nations under oppression and occupation will take place.
