On the occasion of the 79th birthday of the master Hasan Harguli, known by the nickname Hasan Azerbaijan.
South Azerbaijani musician and national-cultural activist Hasan Harguli was born on the 1st of Shahrivar, 1320, in the city of Tabriz. Hasan Harguli opened the Tar Music School named after Azerbaijan in the most acute crisis of national identity in South Azerbaijan in the early 1990s.
This great person was rightly nicknamed Hasan Azerbaijan by his people because of his work for the identity of his people as one of the fathers of South Azerbaijan. Hasan’s role in the revival of the national identity of our people is undeniable.
Hasan Azerbaijan has been repeatedly threatened, arrested, tortured and arrested for his activities in Azerbaijan on a consistent cultural, social and political basis.
But each time he became stronger and continued his activity without being shaken. Hasah Harguli died on the 3rd of Tir 1397.
The participation of thousands of South Azerbaijanis in his funeral is an indication of the people’s respect for him.
