The head of the Ardabil District University of Medical Sciences, Dr. Shahram Habibzadeh, spoke about wedding ceremonies in coronavirus conditions:
“I want people to refrain from going to gatherings, to gather at weddings and parties, as a risk, as if you are playing with a coronavirus. The incidence of coronavirus is increasing in the region, and the population and executive authorities must work together to prevent Ardabil from becoming infected with this disease.
Dr. Habibzadeh added that “if the region becomes red again, it will cause serious losses to the economy and livelihoods of the population. It is more necessary to wear a mask indoors, because the virus is transmitted by talking, coughing and sneezing. The presence of the population at mourning and weddings is a factor in the increase in corona statistics. This issue is very serious. Currently, 9 active units of Imam Khomeini Hospital provide treatment and services to 9 corona patients. The ICU unit will be opened soon, and we are trying to open an ICU unit at Imam Khomeini Hospital by increasing the number of medical staff.
In conclusion, Dr. Shahram Habibzadeh said: “One of the most important factors in our shortage of medical staff is the fact that many doctors and nurses suffer from coronary heart disease.”
