Zangan police chief Rahim Jahanbakhsh said that a millennium-old antique item was found before Christmas and five smugglers were arrested.
Rahimzadeh said:
“After receiving information that members of a criminal gang were involved in the smuggling of antiques in Zangan, the issue was brought to the special agenda of officials. Officials began collecting knowledge in this regard, identified 5 smugglers, cooperated with the court and arrested the defendants without waiting.
Jahanbakhsh said officials searched the suspects’ hideouts and found a variety of items, including animal-shaped pottery, a gold pin on his head and several other historical artifacts.
