The Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of East Azarbaijan stated that the restoration and revitalization of Birdhouse and Maiden’s Tower are two important priorities of this general office in the city for the current year.
Ahmad Hamzehzadeh in a meeting with Khosrowshah district and mayor, stating that Khosrowshah district is one of the active areas of the province in the field of tourism, stressed the need to develop tourism infrastructure in this district.
He said: “Considering the special efforts of Khosrowshah district and mayor in order to develop tourism and also protect the historical heritage of this region, we are witnessing effective measures in this area such as creating a tourist camp at the entrance of Khosrowshah and also pursuing the revival of historical buildings such as Birdhouse and Maiden’s Tower.
Referring to the effective role of Khosrowshah tourist camp in developing tourism in the region, he added:
“Khosrowshah tourist camp is one of the best camps created by the municipality of this region, which in addition to providing outpatient services, the best place to create handicrafts market and introduce works of art.”
Citing the public relations of the General Directorate of Heritage, Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts of the province, he stressed the need to accelerate the process of reviving the historic baths of Isfahan and defining the appropriate use, and added:
“Cultural Affairs of the province, it is necessary to take measures related to determining the ownership of the bath building and its surrounding lands in order to determine the appropriate use according to the needs of the region to exploit this valuable capacity”.
