The governor of Varzigan, Mohammad Baghi Khani, warned about the extraction of 20 tons of gold per day. He told reporters:
“We have discussed this with the managers of the Mazre Shadi mine for the processing of gold in the area. Illegal extraction of 20 tons of gold per day will be prevented.
It should be noted that the activity of the Anderyan mine has led to the death of many animals in the region. However, in February 1399, the mine was shut down due to environmental damage.
